My Self Portrait

This was actually pretty hard to do. We made a paper collage and then had to copy it on illustrator, but without tracing it. I ended up doing a lot of rotating things and playing, and I'm definitely improving my illustrator skills, even if it's the hard way.

Symbols

Symbols created in illustrator--one off of a paper, the other, representing me. I think it would be fabulous to sail old-fashioned-style to England someday. 

Illustrator Family

This is my little family made in illlustrator. It was really not as easy as it looks--I promise--but it was great learning some of the shortcuts!

It was both fun and frustrating trying to put this memoir together. I think the font fits wonderfully, and I like the overall idea of the composition, but I truly don't feel like the actual picture works all that well. I'd love to rework it at some point in time on my own terms. I'm sure the quality of the vector images would improve immensly after I've learned more about illustrator as well.

I finally have time to work on my memoir tomorrow! I'm excited to give illustrator another try. It's been forever since I've used it, and the review in class was a huge help! Hopefully things go smoothly.
